Being a teenager in Aotearoa right now is hard. You can’t vote, you’re watching the government try to dismantle Te Tiriti, you’re being hurt by the government’s racist, transphobic and misogynist rhetoric you’re seeing everywhere, you are worried about your future, your parents might have lost work - you’re worried about finding work. So what is there to do?
Come and hang out with some activists and get radicalised! Do some crafting! Make some badges! Create some cool designs in session 1 and we’ll print them together in session 2! Find community to help you to organise protests and events to help your communities. Or just hang out and play games…
Everyone is welcome - all ages - please register.
BYO garment and ideas for tees and badges. And if you can, please bring koha for the tee shirt press.
Session 1: Designing tees and badges while sharing stories and developing your activism
Session 2: We’ll come to this session with your designs ready to go, and you’ll leave with your cool screen-printed garment, badges and stickers - and a new activist community!
Please sign up for both sessions when you sign up
