William Mason

William Mason

William Mason is an Architectural Graduate at McKenzie Higham Architects, holding a Master of Architecture (Professional) from Te Herenga Waka — Victoria University of Wellington, where his research focused on bio-based self-build housing for rural Aotearoa. He co-founded the Bio-based Building Network (BBBN), advocating for natural materials in the built environment. He has written on hemp and straw construction for Newsroom, and was a finalist for the NZGBC Future Thinker of the Year 2026 award.
