Guy Shaw

Guy Shaw is a Registered Architect and Certified Passive House Designer, and the founder of Energy Architecture NZ. With nearly two decades of Passive House and retrofit experience across the UK and New Zealand — designing, modelling, and testing buildings from research huts to high-rise residential — he brings an unusually broad view of what high-performance buildings can and should be.

He has a particular interest in the gap between what the building code aspires to and what its compliance pathways actually deliver — and what that means for the health of New Zealanders.
