Aditi Tiwari
Aditi (she/her) is a Master of Professional Business Analysis student at Victoria University of Wellington, whose research explores digital leadership, AI governance and Indigenous data sovereignty in AI-enabled public sector systems through a Te Tiriti o Waitangi lens.
Her work examines the intersections of emerging technologies, power, accountability and data sovereignty, particularly how decisions about the collection, ownership and use of data can reinforce existing structural inequalities.
As a first-generation migrant and community advocate, Aditi brings both academic and lived perspectives to conversations about digital equity, representation and the concentration of power in technological systems. She is particularly interested in how AI governance can uphold Indigenous rights, strengthen democratic accountability and ensure communities retain meaningful control over their data and digital futures.
